Feature & Follow *18*

Feature & Follow is a blog hop hosted by Parajunkee & Alison Can Read. The purpose is to meet people and gain more followers in the book blogging community.

Q: What is your guilty pleasure as far as reading? Is it a genre, or is it a certain type of book?

Wow, what a Q! :) I do love reading many genres, but it might be obvious or not, that I do love, just love New Adult. It's definitely a genre I have grasped onto, since I learned about it, last April/May and it's just been really fun reading the different New Adult novels. I'm currently a college student, and some of the characters I read, do go to college, and some don't concentrate on a college setting, but I like relating to the characters I read, because maybe its the same age, but I just find myself relating to them, in different ways. I also love Adult Contemporary Romances, where the characters are a bit older than New Adult characters or they sometimes are not, older than 25, so anyway, there's still so manyyyyy books I have to read, some books that have been raved so much, and I hope to read them this year :)

Here are a few Clickable covers (that lead to Goodreads) of some of my favorite New Adult/Contemporary Romance novels. There are some I'm definitely forgetting, but here's what came into my mind right now :)

I would love to check out your posts so remember to leave your link down below in the comment area & Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

    1. Yes the Romance is lovely :) Even when I started college a few years ago, I was looking for books that had college characters; so glad there's a variety now.

  13. New Adult is great, sometimes it's nice to read about characters who are still in a school setting, but older than high-school. Thanks for including some clickable covers for us - I'm checking some of those out.

    1. well New Adult concentrates on characters that usually range from 18-25 and it can include college or not, and these 'New Adults' sometimes face realistic situations, and face a new sense of independence, but it just depends on which story. hopefully that helps with this genre: New Adult.

    2. Thank you for explaining. :)
I have written a mystery novel titled, Dazed and now that you're explaining me this, it could be New Adult. I have to find the genre that my story represents by the time I finish editing it, but I am really confused. :/

    3. I hope you find the correct genre for your upcoming book and if it's new adult, that's exciting :)

  17. Good choice! Maybe this should have been my answer. :) I occasionally make a little fun of some NA books in my reviews, but I have yet to pick one up and not eagerly read through to the end, even when I find myself rolling my eyes at times.

  18. I've just discovered that New Adult was actually a genre, and from what I've read of it so far, I'm liking it. :D However, I tend to stay away from strictly adult books, because a lot of the time there a little bit to a......mature for me. xD

Thanks for stopping by! Old follower. :)
