Review:
It was unbelievable! Let me say that first. I started yesterday afternoon, and finished it just this morning. I literally  could not put it down!! The story starts out with Paige Joplin Stone aka P.J. She seems like a normal 18 year old, who is very much interested in boys, and really just wants to find a good boyfriend. Within a couple days her oh so called boring life takes a turn, a really good turn, with her best friend, Bryn O’Bannon. They have known each other and have been best friends since they were five. They know each other so well, but at their friend’s party, they get to know much more about each other, and that turns into....love :)  After this new realization of their strong and passionate love for one another, they are dramatically pulled apart. It’s best to mention that P.J. and Bryn are from a different society. They are humans but have special Gifts. They are either a Seer, Gatekeeper, Speaker, or Guardian. Well, Seers and Guardians cannot be together romantically and P.J. is a Seer, and Bryn a Guardian. With them being found out, they are forced to be apart. With that problem, there becomes a huge problem, and that includes Aliens wanting to take control of the world! P.J. has visions of this possible take over and gets help from a mysterious other being. P.J.’s life is definitely not boring anymore as she goes on a path she never thought possible, and at the same time, she is figuring how she will be with her beloved Bryn again.
This was over the top fantastic! This story really had me at Chapter 1. After reading the first page, I simply could not put it down. This is really the first time that I have read a science fiction/romance, and it was just so great for my first read in that genre. I really loved all the characters, and I mean all, especially the different guys that are in P.J.’s life. They all are different, but have the same love and affection for P.j. and it was interesting to see how they connected to her. I thought it was very creative how the Gifts were presented, and explained. Dyllin has a beautiful Gift herself, and that shows throughout the whole story. There is just so much creativity, loved it! I liked that this just seemed like a very New story, and while I was reading, there was always a twist or a turn that I would not have expected, and that was a great feeling. I liked not being so predictable. As I was nearing the end, I wanted to read more. This story will definitely want you to want more. I cannot wait for her next installment to the series. There will be a Book 2 and 3, so looking forward to that!

Here is the excerpt I promised:
And just as suddenly as it had begun, the kiss ended. Bryn stood quickly, leaving me on the ground to stare up at him in a daze. He swore under his breath, turning away from me to run his hands through his hair. “That shouldn’t have happened.” His voice broke an octave lower than normal, causing my stomach to do a little flip-flop.

“Bryn.” His name, carrying an unsaid plea, felt new and unfamiliar on my tongue. I wanted his lips on me again, so much so that me being almost raped didn’t even seem relevant anymore. “Bryn,” I said again, bringing the fingertips of my hand to touch my lips, imagining his were still locked with mine.

Bryn turned back towards me, acknowledging my silent plea with wide eyes. Tension was etched into every line on his face. “You’re drunk, and that shouldn’t have happened.”

Maybe I was buzzed, but not drunk. And for the life of me I couldn’t remember why kissing Bryn was such a bad idea. I’d never imagined kissing someone could feel so—right. So there was no reason why it shouldn’t have happened or why it shouldn’t happen again. “Why?” I whispered. “Why shouldn’t it have happened? I want—I want you to kiss me again.”

Like Crazy

So this is really my first film review. Weird, but oh well. I have watched different films but have lacked to write about them, so I’m forcing myself to do this one, as a start. I just finished watching Like Crazy directed by Drake Doremus. It starts out with Anna in front of her class making a speech. Jacob is in that class too, and there is an instant connection between them. Anna is from England, and she only has a limited amount of time in Los Angeles, and she has to make a critical decision, and that is to either go back to England when she is supposed to, or stay in America with an expired Visa. Well, her heart picks, but it is a decision that she may regret, as when she does go back to her home country, and tries to come back to America months later, she can’t, because of that expired Visa. The next few years are hard for Jacob and Anna. It was sometimes difficult to watch these two that clearly love each other, and seem to not be good at distant relationships, but Anna does eventually get her Visa/passport straightened out, but is the love from when they first fell in love with each other still there? You have to find out for yourself!
This was definitely a roll a coaster of ups and downs. It was a good story though, and it had a sense of realism, which I at times like in films. I am a film student, and have to say that the editing was really good. There were numerous of fast shots, and the editing really worked well with the story itself. I really liked the shots where it turned to one character then cut to the other character, and they just stare at each other, and for some reason we can probably think what they are thinking, what they are feeling. The actors all did really well. There were raw moments and I think they were the best, as one can see an actor really get develop into character. It was really a good film, and I hope you comment and let me know what you thought of it. I have a link here if you are interested in purchasing the DVD. I hope to post some other film reviews soon!

Always You By: Shilpa Mudiganti

First just want to mention that I am part of another book tour, this time for the novel, Always You By: Shilpa Mudiganti. It’s organized by Enchanted Book Promotions, and am just so glad to be apart of it. Here is the link to their website so you can also see other blogs that are part of this book tour: http://enchantedbooktours.eternalised.net/page/3/
Do check it out!

Now, next, I just finished Always You. Let me just say first, it was a wonderful and touching story, and I loved every word written. In a brief summary, Lyla who is about in her mid twenties, goes to work as usual, and is excited about her last job she will do for her company, that will send her to New York and Paris. The thing is, when she goes inside that conference room, she locks eyes with her ex-boyfriend, Alex, who she has not seen for over five years! Now thats a surprise. It turns out that Alex is going to be her boss for this job assignment, and Lyla had no idea, neither did Alex, that they would be working together, and all the feelings that he still had for her resurface. During their four week work outing, there are still disagreements on why they broke up five years back, but for some reason Lyla cannot move forward, as she still feels hurt by Alex’s betrayal. By the end of four weeks, there is a change in both Lyla and Alex that move them in the direction that they had hoped for all along. As I said, this is a wonderful love story, and the writing was beautifully written; I can feel the different emotions that the characters feel, and I recommend this book to those that love a good romance story. You will not be disappointed! :)
