June News!

Hello everyone!


Hope you are all having a great Sunday wherever you are. I can't believe it's already June. It feels like I just finished the semester, but really it's now almost been 4 weeks, and I actually start my summer semester in a week, so I'm going to get really busy once again with school, work, my project, and maintaining my blog. I'm ready for it though; it's nice to have some leisure time, but I do like to work on different things, and keep busy, so bring it on! :) 


You'll see that since May, I have been posting a lot more. I promised myself that when I finished the spring semester, I was going to devote myself more to this blog, and I'm still going to keep that promise for this summer. You will also see that I have participated in some blog tours, and I plan to do so in the next coming months, so I hope you check back once in a while to read my reviews along with occasional guest posts/interviews/promo stops, and Giveaways! 


Here's a little more about me:
When I was little, I have always loved to read, whether it was reading books from Authors Beverly Clearly to of course J.K. Rowling, I always had a book with me. When I was in middle school and high school, I did not read as much, but now in college, I have a book in my purse or I have my books on my phone, (ibooks is so helpful and a necessity for me) it's just a great feeling to read stories that take me away from whatever I'm facing, and to relax in a good story. Last summer, whenever I finished one, I would always find myself wanting to write about the book, because it moved me so much, and that's when the idea came to me: I should just create a blog! So here I am now, and it has been a great experience, and I look forward to more :)


Wow, this is looking to be a more longer post than I planned. That always happens; I write more that I intend to. Anyways, I want to let you know that I have scheduled myself to participate in more Book Blog Tours, and I hope you come along, as I know you'll find some good stories by wonderful Authors that will capture your attention. As you see on my home page, on the right hand side, you will see a list of Current Book Tours/Upcoming Ones/Past Tours. I will update them daily. Other titles that are not there yet, but I will briefly write now include: Sound Bites: A Rock & Rock Love Story; The Flower Bowl Spell; What If; Starring In The Movie Of My Life; The Carny; Katrina The Beginning; Final Life; Seattle Delight. I will post banners with links to the complete tour list for these titles and others as soon as I can, so again, I hope you come by and visit other blogs that are involved in the different tours :) 


I will also be reading other books; books that I have had on my reading list, and you will see that List on the right hand side, down aways. I just finished Across The Hall By: N.M. Facile, and you will see that review below this post if you are interested to read it. That was a great story, simply loved it, so hope you have the time to read my thoughts on it. Occasionally when there are days I am not hosting, I will have my different reviews posted. Also...I will be having my own Giveaway, and I will post it on Saturday, June 25th! I perhaps might be giving away a film, some books, but the real deal will be posted that day, so come and check it out! 


And, yes my blog's title says: For The Love Of Film...I really have been busy, and not seen many films recently, but I will make more time, as I am a movie fan (a big one, no lie!). I'm even majoring in Film Studies now, but I think in the next week or so, I will post about The French New Wave. That is an era, I have really learned to love. I took a few courses that concentrated on World Cinema, and I loved learning and watching films from different countries, and one era is The French New Wave, so any who, I will post something about that soon, so if you're interested come on by! Some films I will discuss will be Breathless; The 400 Blows and Band Of Outsiders. There are some good movies coming out in theaters including the new Batman (CANNOT WAIT!) If you have any suggestions of movies coming out, are ones that are a must, let me know! 


I hope to also make some improvements on my blog, like the look, but this will be later, perhaps more into the Summer. This is my first blog, so I'm still learning how to format and basically just how to use Blogger, but will get more of the hang of it a day by day. You will see the background, and I recently put one of my own pics up. This was taken a few months ago, and you see an early evening pic of the sun setting down, and the waves rolling way in the beautiful California ocean. When I see this, it kinda gives me a calming feeling, and I hope it does for you too. Let me know what you think of this pic. when you have the time. 


I will try to write an update/news post every month, and when I have more time, I might post about other things too, so thanks for coming by today, and do feel free to comment! :)
