I've Got Your Number By: Sophie Kinsella

Oh my, it has been a long time since I have read a Sophie Kinsella novel. I think the last one was Remember Me?. Anyways, it felt great to read her newest:  I’ve Got Your Number. This one was all round witty, intriguing, and captivating. I enjoyed reading every word.

It starts out with Poppy Wyatt trying to find her expensive emerald engagement ring in a hotel. She misplaced it when her friends were trying it out, and then there was a fire alarm, and Poppy does not see it again. So after pleading to practically everyone at the hotel staff, Poppy remains there, just in case someone miraculously says, “Yes I’ve found it!” Her day gets worse, as her cell gets stolen, literally right from her hand, but as she passes a trash bin, she finds a cell phone, and since no one has claimed it, she figures she can use it, keep it. But what she doesn’t expect is a charming businessman, Sam Roxton, calling demanding who she is, and where his PA is. Somehow they come to an interesting agreement that she keeps the phone, but only until she finds her engagement ring. There are great scenes, especially between Sam and Poppy, and there is definitely an interest that brews between them, but remember Poppy is engaged to a scholar, Magnus, so what is Poppy to do? You will have to find out if you have not read this story yet. If you have, let me know what you thought of it!

My Rating: 5/5
My Audience Rating: PG-13
