Feature & Follow *7*

Feature & Follow is a blog hop hosted by Parajunkee & Alison Can Read. The purpose is to meet people and gain more followers in the book blogging community.

Q: What is the last book that made you cry? Tell us about the scene...

Hmm....well, for me, it's very rare when I do cry from reading novels, but it does happen. As I'm typing, there are a few novels that come into mind:

- This was about over a year ago...
I do not usually read much Christian Fiction, but there was a good recommendation about the author: Francine Rivers. The recommendation was for Redeeming Love, a historical fiction story that takes place in the mid 1800's, but that's not the one that made me really, really weep.
After reading that, I was very interested to see what else this Author wrote, and she has written many novels, but there was one that caught my eye. It's called Her Mother's Hope. O.M.G It's so well written and it starts out with a young teenager, Marta, who leaves her homeland of Switzerland, and leaves to go to Canada, then to the US.
But, this story goes on to the Second book: Her Daughter's Dream and we read into Marta's daughter's and granddaughter's life, so this is basically a family saga that has heartbreaking and beautiful scenes, and for both of these books, I was up until literally the sunrise. I can't give a particular scene, but there are just well written characters, and great emotions that are so relatable, and I think some of the situations were relatable including dysfunctional parent and child relationships that sometimes hit home, and wow, at times, it was hard to see a word on a page because tears were coming out, so yeah those two books are a definite 'worth it' type of read.

- Ok, this next one, was not actually in the book, but was a deleted scene, well actually it was a deleted ending. Yes, I'm going to bring up the novel that I have brought up the past 2 weeks, only because it's really one of my favorite reads ever! Thoughtless by: S.C. Stephens had another ending and I read it on a blogger's site last spring, and well even though it's not the real ending, it still had me freaking! *excuse the language* :)

But, I just could not believe I was getting so emotional over an ending that is not the one now, so I guess you can see how I just love this story, but WOW I'm so glad Thougtless ends the way it does, because with that original one, there, well I don't know, but it seems that there would definitely not be the second book: Effortless, so there you go.

Now, which book made you cry lately?
